Just 200 km from Paris, linked by La Touques to its prestigious neighbor Deauville, Trouville never fails to delight with its picturesque fishing port, its enchanting seaside resort, its immense beach of fine sand, and its wealth of architectural heritage. Inheritance, art and culture

In 1825, Charles Mozin, a landscape painter, fell in love with Trouville& He exhibited his paintings in the Paris salons and awoke the curiosity of other painters, such as Isabey, Monet, Corot and Boudin, and writers Proust, Dumas, and Flaubert, who came in turn to seek inspiration here.
It was under the Second Empire that Trouville reached its apotheosis, and thanks to the fashion for sea bathing, won the name "Queen of the Beaches". This was when splendid villas, hotels and casinos were built along the sea front.
One of these, the Villa Montebello, has been conserving the collections of the Musées de Trouville since 1972.

Strolls, walks and rambles

The Saint Gatien aeroclub provides beginners flying lessons all year around. Other activities: jet-skis, speed-boating, paint-ball, surf-biking, go-karting, quad bikes.
