The Grand Hotel Quellenhof – one of the genuinely rare places where the glorious tradition of a grand hotel has been recast in consummate elegance to live on in the modern age.
Following the complete demolition of the original structures of this five-star establishment dating from 1869 and a subsequent construction period lasting only 22 months, the new building of the Grand Hotel Quellenhof celebrated its reopening in November 1996. Member of the international hotel cooperation "The Leading Hotels of the World" and listed among the "Swiss Deluxe Hotels". GaultMillau Hotel of the Year 1998.
The rooms in the Grand Hotel Quellenhof are lavishly spacious and graced with a luxuriant ambience: from the 97 junior suites (50 m2), on to 8 suites (80 m2), and culminating with the Royal Suite (200 m2). A palette of soft-hued colours – particularly blue and a warm, sunny yellow – sets the tone, with tasteful pastel shades accentuating the décor of the suites.
Large bathrooms complete with sumptuous amenities enhance your feeling of personal well-being. Each guestroom has its own balcony offering magnificent panoramic views of the Alps and surrounding parklands. The Royal Suite is palatially appointed with custom-crafted mosaic parquet, a grand piano and fireplace, as well as its own thermal-water whirlpool bath.
"Äbtestube" - the Palais of the Grand Hotel Hof Ragaz, dating from the 18th century, lends the perfect atmosphere for superlative dining pleasure. "Bel-Air" - the sophisticated restaurant at the Grand Hotel Quellenhof. Lovely, covered sun terrace with very popular barbecues in the summer. Business lunch available. Up to 150 seats. "Zollstube" - typically Swiss, the atmosphere is cosy and snug, the menu straight forward: Dish of the day, regional and Swiss specialities, Fondues. "Olives" – the Mediterranean hot spot in the Grand Hotels Bad Ragaz. The Asian Restaurant "Namun" (12 GaultMillau points) - the authentic nature of this restaurant is reflected not only in its cuisine, but also in its interior decoration and, of course, the Asian personnel. Golf Club members, hotel guests and golfers are always welcome in the attractive restaurant "Golf Restaurant" (12 GaultMillau points) with its wonderful sun terrace. The newly built "Golf Bistro" with its magnificent terrace offers a warm welcome to everyone. Restaurant "La Merenda" - La Merenda translates into something like "light meal". This and much more besides is available in the restaurant at the new Tamina Therme, accessible from both the dry and wet areas.
