In winter
The car-free mountain village of Saas-Fee, surrounded by a universe of alpine peaks, lies at the feet of 13 four thousand metre high mountains. One of them, the Allalin, is known as the "Swiss Glacier Mountain".
On its flank, at 3'500 metres above sea level, you will savour the fantastic mountain and glacier panorama from the highest revolving restaurant in the world, or visit the world's largest ice pavilion. One hundred km of pistes on the glaciers, guaranteed snow all the way down to the valley, a snowboard park, 20 km of winter hiking trails, and a sled run are all part of the extensive range of winter sports on offer. The "Q for you" seal of quality guarantees the high standard of all facilities and activities.
In summer
With more than 350 km of hiking trails in one of the most scenically beautiful and diverse valleys in the Valais, the Saas Valley can offer you everything you're looking for. The Saas Valley, including the totally traffic-free glacier town of Saas-Fee, and other places well worth discovering such as Saas Balen, Saas Grund and Saas Almagell, is surrounded by 18 4'000-metre peaks.
Unspoilt natural beauty, genuine hospitality and close links with their cultural heritage characterise the people and places of the SAAS VALLEY. You can travel from Saas-Fee to the «Swiss Glacier Mountain», the Allalin, eat lunch in the world's highest revolving restaurant, and visit the biggest ice pavilion in the world at 3'500 metres above sea level. On the post bus, the many mountain railways and cableways (also in neighbouring Italy!), in the imposing and refreshing ice pavilion, in the indoor swimming pool, and even in the summer ski resort of Saas-Fee.
